RUNTÚN VIEWPOINT:

The departures for the viewpoint of the Volcano are always done at 9:00 p.m. from the city of Baños de Agua Santa, towards the mountain of Runtún for 30 minutes until reaching the viewpoint of Bellavista from where you can see the city of Baños from the heights as such a small valley surrounded by mountains that are a charm to be observed by night. Tourists can enjoy the delicious "Canelazo", a hot and traditional drink from the Andes.

VIEWPOINT OF LA CRUZ DE BELLAVISTA

It is a site with the greatest privileged view. In this viewpoint it gives you an incredibly beautiful view of the city of Baños de Agua Santa and its surroundings.

It is located in the Bellavista sector, Runtún. In this place you can admire a panoramic view of the City of Baños de Agua Santa. There is no need to pay to visit or limited time to visit.

How to get to the Mirador?

The most recommended option by most is to do it on a Chiva, as they offer a tour to the viewpoint. We recommend hiring in the different agencies that offer this service and it is more exciting at night. The tour lasts 2 hours that includes a canelazo, a comic show and with some even an entrance to one of the discos in Baños.

If you want to go hiking, the most advisable thing is to take the street Pedro Vicente Maldonado to the entrance of the trail and continue on it for about an hour uphill until you reach the viewpoint.

The path has all the signs for greater safety.

VIRGEN DE VENTANAS VIEWPOINT

If you are arriving in Baños, and you look out your window a bit, you will realize that there is a large sculpture on the mountain, donated by a devotee who received a miracle.

This virgin is the protector of the city of Baños from the fury of the volcano, which for the years that we live here has been faithfully fulfilled because the city of Baños in the 16 eruptions of the Tungurahua volcano, was never affected apart from a few falls of ash.

From the center of the city of Baños, we go to Montalvo street and Juan León Mera where we will start this amazing adventure. After climbing too many or some saying hundreds of steps for about 30 minutes we will arrive at the sculpture to be able to admire the city from the West to East. One option is to get up a little early and if we are lucky with the weather, watch the sunrise from this place.

OJOS DEL VOLCAN VIEWPOINT

A natural balcony, located in the northern part of the city, allows you to see the wonders of the city of Baños de Agua Santa and contemplate the beautiful Tungurahua volcano. It is located at a height of 2,708 meters above sea level, and is the preferred place to take pictures.

The name of this viewpoint is due to the fact that in the eruption of the Volcano in 1999, the volcano could be seen from this place. In addition, it is a place where you can monitor the volcanic activity of Tungurahua.

How to get to the Ojos del Volcán viewpoint?

Via Illuchi in the Antenas sector, the road is crossing the San Francisco bridge in front of the terminal. It will take you 25 minutes to arrive by car.
